...that's what i wrote a check in the amount of on friday before sending it off to a debt collector -- the last check i will (ever?) have to write as such. because I, MGW, am now officially out of CREDIT CARD DEBT.

1776.06. how symbolic of my new-found freedom from those evil bastards at Visa/MC. in the black. outta the hole. i've viewed my credit card balance online about 52 times yesterday. $0. what a lovely number that zero can be sometimes.

"congratulations. i hope you find some way to celebrate," said the lady from the credit card company when i called to get my final balance.
